All throughout high school I always had seating arrangements that were single file and made you feel like you were in a prison. However, in my observation classroom she has her desks arranged in groups in order for her class to have group work and allow for collaborative discussion. I personally feel like this is a great way to learn and allow students to become more engaged and hold students accountable by allowing for group work. If students participate in group work then they will be held accountable by other members in their group. In my personal opinion I feel like all students are different and learn in different ways. That being said I feel like you should swap the seating arrangements up every now and then to cater to these students who learn in different ways.
